The Workshop March 20, 10AM-6PM
John McClellan
Here is a great opportunity in central Texas to learn from a recognized master teacher, at a per hour cost that is far less than private lessons! Eight hours with John is a learning experience of a lifetime.
John is a guitarist who "wears many hats". He has toured the world as a solo, classical guitarist, but is also a recognized authority on the music of Chet Atkins. He has authored several popular books, such as Chet Atkins in Three Dimensions, Vol.1 & 2; The Legendary Guitar of Jorge Morel and Solo Sessions (a collection of transcriptions of Chet tunes) and produced a two volume DVD instructional video on Chet's style and technique (Chet Licks). John writes a regular feature article for Fingerstyle Guitar magazine and plays with Kirk Hanser as the internationally known Hanser-McClellan Guitar Duo. With Kirk and other partners John has performed on several CDs. John is the head of classical guitar studies at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. He is also a regular performer and clinician at the annual, four day long, Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) convention in Nashville every July.
